A couple of nights in London...where?

We have to spend an overnight in London after our Barcelona to Venice cruise as we cannot make connections home for the same day we disembark. Thinking about a night or two in London. Have no idea where to stay that would be nice and close to some fun places. Any suggestions would help.

I had a very nice stay at Thistle Charing Cross. Very convenient location near Trafalger Square and Picadilly Circus. Walk to most major attractions and shopping.

I love the "The Dorchester Hotel" on Park Lane.;) London has so many GOOD hotels but $$$$$. Enjoy your stay in London and Happy Sailings...Leslie Swiger:)

Since you don't mention price range and London hotels can be expensive...check out the link for Venere as it it has maps of areas as well as prices. Also check out the Britian board (link will be second one) as there is a lot of info there on London hotels and other assorted info.

You might want to try laterooms uk version. Or just type in London Hotels in google and there are millions. The Thistle Hotels are nice and the Grange are nice. Grange have good prices on their web page. They are mainly 5* hotels.

 

Also if you are in London are you going to the theatre? If so londontheatredirect.com are great.

 

I can recommend Evita, Blood Brothers in fact most of the main shows are great. Pay for good seats as it can make a big difference for a few extra pounds.

We stayed at the Thistle Marble Arch.It was very nice and centrally located:) It was newly renovated in 1999.

 

we suggested it to a friend of ours. She stayed there for a week in Jan and enjoyed it and the location.
