mrc1961 Posted July 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2006 I am watching a cabin category for my November Radiance cruise. There are several E2 cabins available for triples and quads. These don't show up as available for doubles. At what point will they make them available for parties of two if they are not sold? Thanks, Jennifer
shirleygr Posted July 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2006 Usually within the last 30 days of the sailing. When are you on the Radiance in November? I'm on the Nov 5 sailing.
Schplinky Posted July 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2006 You could also phone in and switch to one. They won't show up on a room search but if you call in, they will let you take one. The ship will not fill all the quads and triples to capacity and they seem happy to let folks switch. We've been in a triple on Freedom since we booked last year and even now, after final payment, we are still in the same room. Can't hurt to ask. mrc1961 Posted July 19, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted July 19, 2006 Thanks all. Shirleygr I'm on the November 19th Thanksgiving sailing. The E2 room is a great price of 719.00. That's why I've been waiting for them to open up the available ones to doubles. I'll call and see if I can switch though. Jennifer
kbt2 Posted July 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2006 yea, I'd call as well if u want it. We needed a room w/3 and cabin w/ 2 with the adjoining door to the cabins, because of children. And the specific cabins we were looking at never would show up as available online. SO I called and guess what, they were available and we got 'em. So yes, there are cabins available that we do not see.

threeofus Posted July 20, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2006 On the flip side...once the ship becomes too crowded they will ONLY allow two in a room...no matter what the size. This happened to us last year during spring break. They were fast reaching passenger capacity even though there were still many cabins available. We are three and they would not allow three in a cabin. We would have to take two. I heard this from both the TA and the RCL - and I confirmed it with a friend who works for RCL. We ended up going on Princess because they were able to accommodate the three of us in one cabin.
