Disembark times on Explorer

Recommended Posts

We are going on our 1st RC cruise on the Explorer leaving out of New Jersey August 20th. We have no idea what time to tell the limo to pick us up. All our other cruises we were off the ship by 10 a.m. or so, but this ship holding over 3,000 people we have no idea how long it takes to get off. We are Diamond in the C & A, does that mean we get off early even though we won't have flights to catch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Diamond member, flight or not you will be first off. Make sure you go to the lounge they say for diamond members.

We are also diamond members and are having car service. We told them 9:00.

I don't know if this helps you as I don't have past experience with car service. We have always had flights in the past.

Thank you for your response. Wow, you think as early as 9 a.m? Course the ship does dock at 7.

That will be great if we're off the ship by 9, nothing worse than sitting around waiting in crowds of people.

I'll have the limo show up between 9 & 9:15.

Thank you

I think it's just the luck of the draw. On our cruise, they didn't start letting anyone off until almost 10:30am. Apparently, there were some non-US citizens who didn't report when they were supposed to and they kept paging them over and over. No one gets off until the coast guard clears the ship. But I've also read that other cruises have been able to disembark as early as 9:00am.

When we were on Voyager last year we did not get off untill much later I think it was almost noon but you can double check with Pelican bill and Bride as they were on the same cruise.
