steffie Posted July 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2006 I enjoy snorkeling but am a little scared of sharks. (at the same time totally amazed with them) I haven't heard anyone mention sharks. Do you not see many around Bermuda? How about baraccuda or other things that might want to take a bite out of you or stuff you need to be looking out for? =) I am thinking about snorkeling off one of the calmer beaches I have read about. Thanks. It will be our first trip to Bermuda in 2007.
Pleiades Posted July 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2006 The search feature can be really helpful; I used it to find the thread in which I posted about sharks and jellyfish: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=321293
smeyer418 Posted July 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2006 have your ever heard of someone being attached by a Barracuda? just don't wear anything shiny in the water......(take your jewlery off- fishing lures are shiny for a reason)...
steffie Posted July 23, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted July 23, 2006 Pleiades thanks for the information. I will check it out. I did try to search but didn't have any luck. I was having a problem with the site being super slow so that was probably it. smeyer418 I have actually heard of a few attacks but I was mainly curious about what would be around more than thinking I was going to be attacked. I do know the precautions. Thanks.
