Suburban Drudgery Posted July 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2006 month is good for this area? We went to Mexico (west Coast via Carnival) and had the best time in May. Want to try the West. Caribbean cruise now. Need any feedback. TIA
momof4boys Posted July 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2006 We loved the Conquest (and the Elation when she was based in Galveston!) It is a fabulous ship and the ports are a blast! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We would love to visit Cozumel again, but we are thinking of book the Truimph for the Eastern C. BrendaB1 Posted July 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2006 Any month is good for Western Caribbean. July thru Oct could be hurricane peak season but weather is great anytime.
simkoreb Posted July 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2006 We have gone to the Western in Feb twice, and had perfect weather!!! We like that itinerary so much, we're doing it again in a month!!!!!! I must say Cozumel is always a blast, and I'm a little bummed that's not one of our ports. Have fun!!!
LoriTX Posted July 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2006 Been on two West Carribean cruises, one in Early April and one in Early May. Both had PERFECT Weather! The April Cruise was on Elation (when it went out of Galveston) to Progresso, Cosumel and Belize. The May Cruise was on Conquest (when it went out of New Orleans). Went to Grand Caymans, Cosumel and Jamacia. We try to plan our cruises so not to land on Spring Break and so far have gotten lucky with our dates! With schools arround the country spreading out Spring Break dates it can get kind of tough. Best way to tell is by checking calendars on a few college and university websites when planning your cruise. Lori
