bronxgirl61 Posted July 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2006 My family and I are taking the Voyager OTS cruise in November and cruising the Mediterraenean. We have decided to go with the cruiseline excursions. Some of the excursions include lunch. My question is, what types of restaurants do we go to for lunch? I was told not to join in on the lunch and if possible, try to leave the group, even if means to grab a slice of pizza. I was also told that on one of the excusions in Rome the group went to a hotel and ate in the conference center and ate roast beef!! Is this true? I thought we would go to a nice place for lunch and get a taste of the local specialties.
jeffaggy Posted July 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I was on the Brilliance Med in 04, so maybe it has changed? I was on three tours in Italy through RCCL and we served decent lunches at real restaurants. Certainly not 5 stars, but decent enough. I wouldn't try to leave the group, some of the "sit down" lunches were fast (under 45 minutes) so you might get separated.
bronxgirl61 Posted July 25, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted July 25, 2006 Appreciate the feedback. Not too many go for the cruiseline excursions, so I haven't read too many reviews in regards to excursion information, mostly private tours, private drivers, etc. Thanks again.
