Anyone familiar with Cayman Brac?

An acquaintance lives on Cayman Brac and has offered to meet us on Grand Cayman when we stop there for the day. The map shows that it is 85 miles between the two islands. Are there ferries that go back & forth, or only flights? If it would be too difficult for him to make the trip, I don't want to impose. Anyone have any input on this? Thank you!

Many times - great diving; and a short hop to Boody Bay diving too. There are daily puddle jumper flights. Many residents of Brac and Little Cayman make regular trips to 'the big island' just for shopping and the like. But it is a long boat ride. 85 miles at 10 miles per hour vs 85 miles per hour...

The first time we visited Brac (damn it was a long time ago) we had been going to GC for a while and learned of Brac but were concerned about how small it was. So we did a split trip - started on BRAC for a few days, then jumped to GC. We actually had to fly to Grand and take the puddle jumper to Brac, and back. Now BRAC has a 'real' airport and you can fly direct fm the states, but there's still a commuter flight too.
