Scuba Diving; Seychelles or the Maldives

Anyone been there lately? Wondering how the diving is. I understand the Maldives has severe currents. Any info welcome, thanks.

I know it's four years since you posted this but my husband and I are trying to decide about taking a Silversea's cruise from the Seychelles to Mauritius next January (2011) so I thought I'd try this thread again. I'm trying to get information on how the diving is that time of year, currents, weather, etc. Can anyone help me with this?
