POA Onboard entertainment times

:o We are traveling with friends that have never cruised and they would like to see the onboard evening shows that are usually held in the big show rooms on cruise ships. Does anyone know what the usual time for these shows are on the Pride of Aloha and if they are worth the time? Do they happen nightly? Is there more than one show a night? We are trying to plan our excursions, dinner times, etc. and since they want to see at least one or two of these shows, we are trying to work them in.

I appreciate your help and I appreciate all of the wonderful tips this boards supplies!

THANKS!

I was on the POA (Pride of Aloha) in 2004. The shows are held in the "Stardust Theater" which is Deck 6 & 7 aft. For most shows, there are two performances, 7:30 and 9:30. If they have a "special" performer like a singer, then there may be only one show at 8:30.

The early shows tend to be less crowded. Some hints about the Stardust on the Aloha: 1.) Get there early and get a chair! The couches are uncomfortable! 2.) Do not sit in the first couple of rows of the balcony, the railing obstructs your veiw.

If you want the early show: Go to dinner by 5:45 p.m. in order to make it OR go to dinner after the show. (shows are less than an hour.)

If you want the late show: Go to dinner by 6:30-7:00 (or earlier.) Peak dining times are 6:15-8:00 and there can be quite a wait for a table. Also, service tends to be slow on the Pride ships, so leave some extra time.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your help with planning our trip! This board has been so wonderful with the information being provided before we go! Even though we are not going to Hawaii until December....we are so excited!
