mferranti Posted July 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2006 I'm looking for information. An excursion we're considering in Olden, Norway has the following passage in its description: ... Briksdal Glacier, You will cross a wooden bridge over a thundering waterfall before reaching a beautiful mountain valley. Question: can anyone tell me about this bridge? My wife is a little leery of this tour, but if the bridge is large and sturdy enough she'll consider it. TIA for any help.
Seabee Posted July 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2006 The bridge is fine....we absolutely loved Birksdale. We renterd a car at the pier and drove to the glacier; at least to the entry to the trail. It is quite a hike up to the glacier itself although you cn also take a "wagon". Take a jacket as the glacier is very chilly.
