cc5002 Posted July 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2006 What are the risks of booking a Balcony Guaranteed cabin on Liberty? Mostly likely an 8A cabin will be assigned, with possibility of 8B-8E. Any obstructed view in these categories? If I reserve for 4 people, is it possible to be assigned a room that's not big enough for 4? Any other risks that one should be concerned with in these categories?

cruise pup Posted July 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2006 My tablemates were assigned a cabin above the disco. It was a nightmare (or would have been if they had gotten to sleep).
Rare silentbob007 Posted July 30, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2006 Undesirable locations are the downside of a balcony guarantee ... though I booked one on sister ship Valor and had a great room.
maynovmom Posted July 31, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2006 I took a chance on this too for April 07 on the Liberty. Location would be the only downside since Carnival assured me that there are no obstructed views and you always get the right number of guests allowed per cabin (coast guard rules on the newer ships-no rollaways allowed). Hopefully I won't be over the disco but even last year I was on the verandah deck and I could hear the singer in one of the bars on the promenade. It didn't bother me because I passed out easily after a few minutes or so since I was so tired anyway.
