Miami to Fort Lauderdale

Looking for best way to get from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale hotel day before our cruise.... car rental ( how much?), taxi ?. Heard Super Shuttle horror stories.

You can rent a car as the best way to travel cheaply from one aiport to the other as well as to a hotel. The super shuttle is about $29.00 pp. from MIA to FLL. A train, if you can lug suitcases, is about $5.00 pp. Ship to MIA is about $25.00 by taxi. I'm not sure if you can get a car rental agency to pick you up at the dock.

Remember the car rental agencies in FLL are at the airport - which is about 5 minutes from the pier.

They provide free transport to the ship in FLL. (I think they now have one shuttle for all agencies but I'm not sure). We have always used National at FLL but Hertz elsewhere..
