  1. The room steward has always provided us one upon request. It looks exactly like the ones they would confiscate.
  2. And the Sea Witch from your profile:
  3. Captain's Circle: You have to leave that Princess term behind and go with captain's Club.
  4. YES, probably, but make sure you talk to the Captain's Club Concierges on each journey. Check if there are other 3,000 point Zeniths that may be on your cruises. There are groups on -- who may be able to give more advice about 3,000+Zeniths. Congratulations on the dedication to get from A to Z.
  5. Now how much for nothing included? Just Aqua. I just posted Celebrity's pricing screen. $5420 for AQ, $1,600 less than the HIA.
  6. Just a quick edit, the real effort is more cumbersome.
  7. Let's pick North America, no messing around with transatlantic flights etc. November 2025, the longest cruise available out of Florida. Preferably a month or so, Back to back bonus. Non-refundable, cruise only pick inside/OV/Balcony ( I find it hard to get AQ pricing w/o calling. I'm open for suggestions from others who claim have a 10% better rate than I can find. (Sorry but we rather cruise for a month than pay for expensive real estate when the Retreat is already available.)
  8. Ordinary Balcony $1,353 pp $50 OBC. From V2. Non refundable. My drinks and everything else is already "Free"
  9. Getting a group together with the 8th cabin free is probably the way agencies book a bunch of cabins and split the cost of #8 between members of the group. With the ever increasing fares, finding a 10% cut is more important than ever. Having said that I'm looking for 7 couples who want to go on the same cruise we're on....😇
  10. The jar of peanut butter that I just bought there was twice as large as from the local brick and mortar as well. We still use, occasionally, a certain company that advertises 10% back as well. They used to give us a credit every time we booked but that was cut in half and then discontinued. They forgave the charge for cancelling bookings as an Admiral.. Then covid hit and they were unreachable. That big box store also gives us $ for annual charges. We have also used a Canadian ex.... company that gives hotel points that are practically useless. When one does their own research and planning, a jade ornament should be on my desk. I would like to see a challenge. I'll come up with a sailing and see if all these posters can find a price that is actually 10% less than the one I can find on my own.
  11. Sorry but I don't buy the internet plans so I didn't click on any of them. In the Caribbean I cruise on Celebrity and our internet is free. (a lot of cruises to get the free stuff)
  12. We are cruising down the St Lawrence and will be in Canadian waters most of the time. I'm, thinking of using my phone as a hotspot instead of the expensive internet. By the way internet is free in every Canadian port.
  13. Southern Ontario here: It's Hot, it's dry. The leaves are drying out and falling. We don't expect much colour this year.
  14. We cruised to Quebec in early October a decade ago and were welcomed with 6 inches of snow on the ground.
  15. Supposedly Mark Twain said: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Here in central/southern Canada the temperature now is 83 degrees. Enjoy the wet coast.
  16. We were on Eclipse for 24 days. For the first time we arrived home healthy, no covid, no flu, no cold. Our son and daughter in law went to a family gathering and have been down with covid for two weeks. There is no shot for the latest strain available yet. (Where I live) My conclusion, ships are safer than home.
  17. Celebrity's Millennium Class were originally Gas Turbine but diesels were installed because the fuel was just too expensive. The same "updates"/downgrade may have been installed on Radiance Class. Royal Caribbean Radiance class (beyondships4.com)
  18. I just read the posts on HAL membership numbers and loyalty levels being replaced by Princess data. To me that means integration will come about sooner than later. But as Sgt Schultz would say: " I see nothing, I hear nothing, I know nothing"
  19. I just checked. I still have my HAL number, one that I can actually remember. We have 11 cruises with Princess but none in two decades. And what a laugh: "The Best Loyalty Program at Sea" but that is another debate.
  20. Royal is not combining points with Celebrity. Each branch is still keeping their own way of determining points. However, status is sort of shared but not exactly equal. A Celebrity Zenith becomes a Pinnacle and a Pinnacle becomes a Zenith but benefits are not equal. It's a program that needs some serious tweeking.
  21. No, corporate is counting the $$$ that Park West paid. It's not the ship, it's corporate selling the same space twice. Only trivia players were really affected by being sardined in the Ensemble lounge. Oh and whale watchers? Pax looking for a quiet place? A comfortable place to avoid the cold around the pool? Zeniths are no more important than any other passenger expecting what they thought they paid for and not getting it. It's all in the small print. There were 35 Zeniths on board, 13 of those pinnacles.
