How do Conquest Class Ships Compare To Spirit Class?

We have been on three Spirit Class ships (Spirit, Pride and Legend) but not the Glory (Conquest Class).

We really like the layout of the Spirit class but the Glory out of Port Canaveral is an easier drive home to Virginia than the Miracle out of Tampa.

I'm interested in opinions of those who have sailed both and how they compare.

Thanks,

Lou

I've been on the GLORY (Oct 03) and the PRIDE (May 04) and find the PRIDE far superior for layout, which is what you mentioned.

However, everything else about the GLORY is fantastic. Beautiful, gracious, well-maintained and staffed.

Loved 'em both but would have to give the nod to the Spirit-class.:)

Hi,

We've been on the Pride (May 03), the Spirt (Jan 04) and the Glory (May 04 and Oct 04). We'll be on the Miracle Jan 05. I prefer the Spirt class ship's layout but the Glory is absolutely a beautiful ship. The layout takes a little getting used to but it's no big deal. You can't go wrong either way.

We have been on both and prefer the layout of the Spirit class ships-

The Glory seemed very closed in and almost claustrophobic at times.

For instance, the aft pool and bar area is totally glass enclosed- very hot back there. On the Pride. Legend and Miracle- the aft pool area has open railings and you get a nice breeze and fantastic view.

The atrium bar on the Glory felt very closed in also.

Just a matter of personal preferance I guess.

We did enjot having a cabin on the Lido deck on the Glory though- very convenient.
