Carnival Shuttle vs Cab (Victory)

Hopefully someone can help me with my (maybe) delemma. I and a friend are booked on the September 23 Victory Fall Foliage Cruise. We booked our air several weeks ago, allowing more than ample time to get to the airport.

 

Well, the airline cancelled our flight and rebooked us on a much earler flight - one that we had no hope of making. I called and spoke with a representative and was able to move it to a somewhat later time, but I am still a bit apprehensive.

 

So my question is which would be the fastest method of getting to Newark - Carnival Shuttle or catching a cab? We return on a Satuday.
