fastfingers2red Posted August 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2006 Does the color and letter on Princess luggage tags have any indication when we'd get off ship? I know Carnival is by tag color so I was just curious. I have navy blue tags with a "F" on it. We have an early flight out so I wanted to make sure we're off the ship with some time to spare. Thanks. thechandlers99 Posted August 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2006 The luggage tags they give you in your embarkation package has to do with the deck you are staying on so they can deliver your luggage. It has nothing to do with what time you get off the ship. The night before the last night of the cruise, they will give you new luggage tags to put on your bags. The color of these tags are what determine the time you get off the ship. When you get your tags, just go to passnger services and ask them what time that color is called to disembark. If that will not work for you, just tell them what time your flight is leaving and they will give you new tags...no questions asked!
Toto2Kansas Posted August 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2006 If you are asking about the ones mailed to you to board, NO, this has nothing to do with when you disembark after the cruise. You will receive new tags onboard in your stateroom after you fill out the flight info sheet and return it to the Pursers desk a couple of days before your cruise ends. GloriaF Posted August 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2006 The letters "A" or "F" indicate whether to load your luggage aft or forward for easiest delivery.
Alaska05 Posted August 3, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2006 We just got off the Sun last Sunday. A couple days before the end of the cruise there will be a notice in the Patters asking those with early departure flights to notify the Passenger Services desk. They will then put you in one of the first groups to get off the ship. Once you get your disembarkation luggage tags and instructions with approximate times to disembark detailed by color, if you have any problems, you can then go back to Passenger Services to have them changed. They are very cooperative whether you booked transfers with them or have independent plans. Our ship offered Express disembarkation which meant you had to carry ALL of your luggage off yourself. This was the first group to leave and there were a lot of them. Not sure if all ships & itineraries offer this. Hope this helps.
