What's the water like?

I have been to Cozumel and love the colorful water there! The beautiful waters are extremely clear, you can see right to the bottom. I am planning a trip to St. Lucia and would like to know what the water looks like on their beaches. Looking at the pictures it does not look that impressive!! Can any one help me out? Also, is there another island that you can recommend that has great water and a true rain forest? I want to make my 10th anniversary as special as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read!!
