Free Upgrade

Not sure if it is really considered an "upgrade" but it seems better to me!! We booked the Star Princess for 01/27/07 and paid for the least expensive (i.e. cheapest :o ) room. We were assigned rooms on the Plaza deck which is the lowest deck you can sleep on. I guess you could sleep on the Fiesta deck, but not in a bed ;)!! Anyway, we called today and they "upgraded" us to the Dolphin deck and now we have two rooms right next to each other.

 

You all probably know this, but I guess I didn't so I thought I would pass it along. Sometimes it's as simple as just asking!!

If they are both the same category cabins then it really wasn't a true upgrade. What has probably happened is that the price has dropped for the same type of cabin on the Dolphin Deck. If this is the case, they just let you do a self upgrade with the money you saved on the price drop.

A true upgrade is from one category to the next in line, inside to outside, outside to balcony, etc.

But glad you are happy with the new location.

Yes that is best description of an upgrade.
