Has anybody stayed at this hotel?

 

We have a reservation pre-cruise next year and I have a few questions:

 

Has anybody been experienced being awakened early morning because of the commuter train?

 

How far is the ride from the airport to the hotel?

 

How far is the ride from the hotel to the cruise? How long does it take?

 

Is there anyplace to eat close by?

 

Is there any close shopping (for last minute things or booze)?

 

I appreciate anybody's opinion on this hotel.

Yes, commuter and freight trains run past this property. The sounds are muffled, no different then the sounds of the planes from FLL.

It's less the 10 minutes from the airport and Port Everglades.

The Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant is next door in the Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World store.

There are no nearby supermakets or liquor stores.

It's a nice property, relatively new, great safe location, I would not hesitate to stay there if I had to. ;)
