Shells in Costa Maya

Just out of curiosity, does the beach area near Cat's Meow have seashells?

When we were there, we found a few. Nothing too big. Our waiter showed us some baby conch shells in the sand. They were very small, but looked pretty cool. I found a large conch shell and I am glad I didn't keep it. Our waiter told me that there is a season on conch, and it wasn't when we were there. You could get a large fine. Don't keep anything that has something living in it.
