How can I book excursions on my own??

We are cruising on the Mariner January 7, 2007 and we would like to go the cheaper route and book the excursions on our own. Are there any tricks to this? Any helpful hints? Thanks!

go to the main page of this board and look under your specific island, there are many people who have recommended tour companies.

1. get advice on the best excursions from CC, travel guides, etc.

2. Google search your port calls

3. with this info, go directly to the excursion websites. You will often be on the same excursion as the cruise, except 20-30% cheaper!

Head to the Ports of Call section for each of your destinations and you'll find plenty of recommendations for tour operators, tours, etc.

 

We always book tours on our own, and we haven't been sorry once.
