Don't know about yall,,,,'seasoned' cruisers like myself...but, GAWD, don't you get tired of moronic questions on this Board? I'm at the point where it's making me crazy....

what is obstructed view?

can my kid play Playstation, Xbox, game cube on TV?

Sports channels?

Camp Carnival

the list goes on....

You are on vacation....no phone, no TV, no game box.....get over it....

OR don't go, and don't take the kids...TAKE A VACATION.....OMG, guess some of yall will have to interact with their children...who'd guess? OR leave them to their own devices.

Point is

GO...HAVE FUN. Forget phones, computers, GAME stations.....Just get lost in the moment,,,,it goes so quickly.

Amen!!!! I for one don't mind helping others as they have helped me but you're ON VACATION. Stop worrying about all that other stuff. It will be there when you get back in a week but your $$$ and time that you spent on the cruise will be gone. Just enjoy!

It is very simple to skip over the posts or questions that do not interest you. Were you not a first time cruise once? This is a forum for asking and receiving information concerning cruising. We all have different interests and just because you do not find a question important or to your liking doesn't mean that someone else won't.

It can get repetitive so if I'm in the same mood that you seem to be in I just don't read or respond to the posts.

I try to remember that we were all first timers at one point. I didn't find this board until before our second cruise and it amazed me how much knowledge there was available. People helped me then and I try to help others now, unless I'm in one of my "moods". ;)

The nice thing about cruising is that there is so much to do. Each person can structure their time in almost any way possible. Personally, I prefer to spend time doing things I can't do at home, but not everyone does so to each his own. :)

There is no such thing as a stupid question! Skip the threads you don't like and hit the ones you do, I would really like to know more about camp carnival because my three kids are really looking forward to going and I am a planner (you really need to plan things with 3 kids). If it were not for the stupid questions asked I would know nothing about many things. For instance I would have wasted 30 bucks on soda cards for my 3 when they are not allowed to drink soda often. I probably would have brought my iron to iron things in my cabin with out realizing they have one on board and someone to do those little things for me. Heck, I would not have known to let my DH wear what makes him comfortable. Thank you to all who ask even the wierdest of questions, because after all that is why I'm here, to get information.

i dont think any question is a moronic question.

especially since i asked most of them myself before my first cruise. i dont know what i would have done if i had not asked and gotten answers to what was important to me and of value to making my cruise a better one. i say if the question is moronic too you

PASS IT BY!!!!!!

I gotta agree, if you don't like the thread simply ignore it. AAAAAHHHHHH but curosity drives us to read the post and then drives us nuts!:p I've read post that ask questions that were answered a few days before and it can drive you to multiple jello shots but many here are right, either don't read em' or remember that we were all there once.

I've started by suggesting they use the search feature, if its working, and that should save some time. And since christhree is right about the same questions coming over and over, I've copied the explanation to my word document and paste it on the board, then I have my jello shot again.;)

If I'm not in the mood pasting is easier and quicker. Folks ask questions here generally because they haven't cruised before so if you don't want to answer a question someone else will....just move on to the next thread.

I'm keeping an eye out for you!

I just wanted to say the I have been one of those people who ask dumb questions starting last year before our cruise.

It was our second cruise, but didn't know about these board at that time. I'm cruising again in September and have ask a number of question about this cruise and will be back again asking question for our next I'm sure.

I've been reading and posting to this board for over a year now and I see the same questions sometimes but, a lot of the questions are from new board members and a lot are from people like me who are going to on a new, different ship and different ports of call that have to learn about them.

Also I'm a baby boomer and I forget:confused: I do take note, but sorry, I can loose them too!!!

All being said, I love this board,it is the best member "people" board there is on the web :)

And bless your hearts I know your tired of "marcyjane" asking so many questions and will be glad when my September cruise is over and you all can rest a while before our next one.

A big thanks to those of you that have been patience with me and answered all my questions even if for the 50th time.;)

Happy sailing to all and to all a good Night!!!

(not really I'll be here reading and posting for a while yet)

The same questions can be asked repeatedly but sometimes a poster will shake things up and divulge a new tidbit that catches my interest. The usual "...size of the balconies in so-and-so room" came up the other week and someone mentioned that the rooms beside the ice machine had bigger balconies.

Who knew? I didn't, and was glad I'd read the thread even though it looked like the same ol' same ol'.

There are times that I get tired of seeing the same threads at the top of the list, but scrolling past is easy enough. :D

She threw some Jello on my post too. I think it was Mango or Peach. LOL!

But I would have to agree with LSUTraveler and others on this board if the post doesn't interest you move on. Don't put a message on there thread because you know the Jello will fly, unless you like Jello - I tend to like pudding better, but that is exactly my point. What you think is fun might not appeal to me or someone else. Yes I am on a cruise and yes I will have fun but doing what I like to do. I don't see any Jello being thrown at the casino post or show post, why not?? But post something about X-boxes, PS2's, Sports Channels - Thanks to all who gave me the poop of the scoop in my thread, or anything else you don't think should be associated with a cruise is ok to hose with Jello. Well enough said from me end and please through Cherry Jello or the green kind just leave out the fruit.

PS - My kids are too small to take on the cruise and the info I have read about camp carnical helped with that choice. And the post about X-box and PS2's was helpful because I know my cruise TV's will have AV's on the TV so I can look at my digital pics or my digtial video camera to make sure I have got the pics or videos I want. Thanks to the op in that thread too.

DUCK I think that was the blue jello that just hit the wall. Take this with a grain of salt not bash anyone, but remember what you consider fun might not be to others. :D

WAR CC!!

I don't read all of the threads, new or not, just what sounds interesting. What I like about this new Cruise Critic setup is you can put your cursor on the thread topic and the first few words of the post will pop up. This helps make it much easier to make up your mind about reading the thread.

Well thank Gawd this thread was created to set them there newbies straight and to let them know better than to bother us seasoned cruisers with this idiotic questions. I mean, don't yall know that you should already know all the idiotic answers to all of your idiotic questions, and therefore should only ask really smart and important questions here. Us seasoned cruisers here don't have the time or patience to have to sort through yall's idiotic newbie questions, so in the future please refrain from asking anything that has the remote possibility of annoying us.

Give me a break!!! Isn't that what this board is here for - to ask questions about cruising. If you don't like the post, then just ignore it - that usually works for me, but I just couldn't ignore this one.

Ok, now I'm ready for my jello shot. :D
