Veendam or Legend of the Seas for February?

I am going to take my mom on a cruise this coming February. I have HC staterooms on hold on both the Veendam and Legend of the Seas. The Veendam is coming in about $1,000 higher than the LOS for comparable cabin types.

 

Which ship offers better accessibility or is it a draw? Ports are not that big of an issue, mom really does not like to leave the ship in port but loves spending her time on the ship. Any suggestions?

 

By the way, we did the Zuiderdam last year and she liked HAL but she has cruised RCCL before and enjoyed it as well.
