fuzz Posted July 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2004 We are going to be in the Canadian Rockies then Vancouver for a week in early September and we have been told that few ATM's in Canada accept Visa Cards. Would anyone like to comment either to confirm or dispel this information. Thanks

daWoods Posted July 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2004 Not sure about all of them, but certainly some do. I'd stay away from the privately owned and operated machines though, and stick with bank operated ATM's.
Mrs. Pharlin Posted July 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2004 i work for a big 5 bank, those banks that deal with visa will accept visa cards at their machines, they are Scotia bank, CIBC, Royal bank, and TD canada trust, Bank of montreal only deals with master card, if you can not find a machine or if you do not have a pin number for your visa you should be able to go into any of the previous banks with proper identification and get a cash advance. these will be in canadian dollars, and the appropriate cash advance fees and exchange premium will be charged to your card.
