Silly question for FOS past cruisers, but I'm curious....

Recommended Posts

Do they serve Coco Locos onboard? They didn't have them on our last cruise and after reading about them on here, I'm anxious to try one. Thanks!

As far as I know (because there will be someone to prove me wrong eventually), Coco Locos are the "signature" drink when you're at CocoCay. I'm sure that you could order one onboard from your bartender if you don't go to CocoCay on your cruise.

You are correct, they will make you one onboard, just ask.

Here's the recipe from RCCL's site:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/emailLinks/newsletter/summerdrinks.do

1/2 oz Orange Juice Concentrate

1/2 oz Pineapple Juice Concentrate

1/2 oz Papaya Juice Concentrate

1/2 oz Coconut Cream

3/4 oz Dark Rum (Or make it a virgin Coco Loco without the rum)

3/4 oz Coconut Rum

1/4 oz Grenadine

Crushed ice

(Makes one cocktail)

Extra tip I've picked up from others and will try on my next sailing ... If you really want to try one, make sure you order one freshly made onboard right before your eyes. Some people have stated the ones on shore, though good, don't have the same taste as one made fresh. From what I've read of the Labaduzee, it sounds great. :D

  • 11 months later...
Labadoozies are the featured drink on the 5th day of the cruise (in Labadee)... That means you can get them cheaper.

We will be going to Coco Cay next month, and I really like Coco Locos!!:D Do they feature that drink on the cruise?
