twinkletoes4445 Posted August 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Well, the stingray tour is a must...it's amazing. There's a lot to do there. I personally thought that the turtle farm, Hell...island tour was something I was glad we only did once. You could also head to 7MB area. Sea Grape and Royal Palms offers food, restrooms, and chair rentals. Sea Grape has Red Sail Sports which has water toy rentals (they are also at many of the hotels). You could eat at one of the restaurants. We loved Breezes. It's right in the port area. I posted the menu on one of the threads. There's submarines, botanical gardens (but it's over on the other side of the island), butterfly gardens, shopping, rum cakes, pirate boat and many other things. johnlcruise Posted August 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Because your time on this island is so short. I would look into booking with Nativeway http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/shiptours.html I have use there service 3 times and have never been sorry. With the "Stringray Island tour" you will see just about everything but you might feel rushed. For a more relaxing time I would go with the "Rays,Reef, and Rum Point tour" You will do the stringrays but on your way back you will stop at Rum Point for Lunch . You'll get a very nice lunch at Rum Point this is on the otherside of the island with white sand beachs, very nice and NO cruise ship crowed

luvtocruise52 Posted August 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2006 On our last cruise, we had done the Stingray City/snorkeling excursion with Nativeway Watersports, and they were so great, we decided to use them again for the “Rays, Reef, and Rum Point Tour” ($60 pp for adults, $45 for age 10 and under; snorkeling gear provided). These guys are amazing! We only had 18 people on the tour and got LOTS of personal attention and time with the rays at Stingray City. At the snorkeling stop, Sheldon lured a nurse shark out of its cave for us to “pet” while it swam around, and also got a moray eel to come out for a swim. Rum Point is a really beautiful beach, and the food included in the tour price was excellent. (You order from a grill menu while on the boat and they have it ready for you when you arrive at the beach.) We bought the DVD of our tour from the videographer ($65). It was well done and brought back wonderful memories.
