dansu Posted August 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2006 1st time cruising... We are hoping to book the Panama Canal trip, once the Carnival excursions posts for booking, they in still in view only mode. Whatever the price, I'm sure it will be an experience of a lifetime, as how many people do you know that can say I travelled the Panama Canal last winter, with the exception of those on this thread. Hoping it will be the highlight of our trip. I was wondering if there is time, and somewhere to shop, at the pier, or along the way, before or after the ferry ride, which would allow me to pick up some souvenirs for my kids. Nothing fancy...just the usual t-shirt, and or shot glass route, as I have one teen who collects t-shirts and water globes, and a twenty year old who collects t-shirts and shot glasses. I know tacky tourist....155 sleeps!
wrp96 Posted August 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Can't tell you about the shot glasses, but they did have T-shirts and other items available for sale on the Ferry when I did it in March.

MTemple212 Posted August 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Why don't you look into the Celebrity Mercury sailings out of San Diego? We and two other couples are doing the West to East Sailing on February 18th, 2007. It should be a great time for all!!
