What time to board?

We were on the Aug. 5 sailing. We arrived at the port at 12:45 and there was a line to go through security, etc. because they had just opened everything up at about 12:30. Once the line got moving, it was really quick. I wouldn't get to the port any earlier than 12:30 because you'll waste time in Hawaii waiting in line. By the way, I wanted to board early because we had a group of 11 and wanted to get dinner reservations. When we finally got on board a little after 1, we had no problem getting reservations. When you get on board, you can go eat at the Aloha Cafe or just wait in one of the lounges on the 5th floor until they call your floor number announcing that the cabins are ready. I don't think ours were ready until closer to 2.
