Barbados hotel?

I'm looking for a hotel for 3 night pre-cruise stay in Barbados. I'm considering:

Coral Sands Resort (Christ Church)

Sandpiper (St James)

Little Good Harbor (St Peter)

Crane (St Philip)

Any comments on the above would be appreciated.

 

Coral Sands Resort comes very highly recommended, but I'm concerned that the Christ Church area may be a little touristy for our tastes.

Definitely consider Coral Sands Beach Resort -- it's on a fantastic beach and close to some good restaurants. Definitely visit The Restaurant at Southsea in St. Lawrence Gap while there -- West Coast quality & service.

 

Little Good Harbor is not in a great area & is very far from everything.

 

Sandpiper is a nice West Coast hotel due to be refurbished extensively next summer.

 

Crane Beach is worth a visit for a drink to look at the beautiful beach, but the water there is the Atlantic & has a very strong undertow. Also, this is very far from everything.

 

I'd opt for Coral Sands Beach Resort if I were you.
