cool change Posted September 22, 2006 #27 Share Posted September 22, 2006 We will be there with 7 ships total in Nov. Does anyone know if any of the shore excursions pick you up at the ship? Sounds unreal, but we once had a snorkel trip pick up/drop off in St. Thomas. at the ship.
texancruzer Posted September 22, 2006 #28 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Occasionally you will find an excursion that will pick up at the ship - but most will be on the pier waiting with a little sign... We have decided to do an RCI excursion (the only one we booked on this cruise) as once again their will be 5 big ones in port the day we are there. However - the excursion we booked is the Aquaboats and Snorkle which only has room for 6 couples (2 in a boat) so no crowds here.... Plan to shop early and then excursion at noon (3 hrs) then back to ship. Must be back on at 4:30 as we leave at 5:00. 3 of the other ships are in at 7 and out by 4 so pier should be somewhat cleared by then. Last time we were there RCI used their own tenders - do they still ?
suzy1212 Posted September 23, 2006 #29 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Had 8 ships in GC last December. Only three yesterday. Yesterday was much better. :p Last December was crowded, but still worth doing.
