txteacher Posted August 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2006 We've booked Rhapsody cabins 3560 and 3558 for 3/11/07. From the deckplans they seem to be beneath the casino. Is there a noise problem in this location? If so I can certainly select different cabins. Thanks.

Your thread title asks about cabins on Deck 4, but the cabin numbers you gave are on the 3rd Deck. I stayed on Deck 4 and there was no noise whatsoever from the casino above on 5. If you're on Deck 3 you definitely won't hear anything!
txteacher Posted August 22, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Good catch! Yes, we're in 4560 and 4558. Thanks, good to know we won't hear all the high rollers in the wee hours!
cb at sea Posted August 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2006 The casinos aren't really that noisy! They're kind of small, and winners are few and far between, so there aren't many reasons for shouting in glee!

TxTeacher, We stayed in 4566, and there was no casino noise at all. Have a good cruise!
just4kixx Posted August 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 22, 2006 We stayed in inside cabins directly under the casino on The Rhapsody and never heard a sound from above. You should be fine! A~

Actually, the casino on Rhapsody is pretty dang big and it's quite noisy in there as there were always winners somewhere!
txteacher Posted August 23, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Thanks everyone! A spring break cruise gives this teacher something to look forward to! DS (9 by then) is beside himself. Now if we could just convince DH that a cruise won't make him feel "cooped up and trapped". He won't come, but there's still time! Thanks again! Now if we could just convince DH that a cruise won't make him feel "cooped up and trapped". He won't come, but there's still time! Thanks again! Anne Tell your hubby that he won't feel "trapped". These ships are so big & there is so much to do. I had my reservations about going the first time. It is just a confined area that you are "stuck" on for a few days. Now I look for ways to get back on a ship. If he ever feels like that tell him to go to the top deck and just look out the bow of the ship. It is by far the best place to be to see what's out there. If he still fells "cooped up & trapped" he may problems.:p
txteacher Posted August 23, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Thanks, Huskerdude! I know, I've told him. I was on Enchantment last year, right after the stretch, and it was not at all claustrophobic. Once he gets his mind made up.......you know how it is. He did say he knew that he'd be on one before too long.
