getting to NY port

i have a question, can we walk to NY port from midtown? We are staying at the hotel on 50 west 34th st in New York. Mapquest shows that it is not far away from here. Does anyone know? Is it possible?

 

We are sailing on NCL spirit, can we take 1 or 2 bottles of wine onboard?

You can bring wine aboard, if NCL discovers them, you'll be asked to pay a $15 corkage fee per bottle to drink that wine aboard, otherwise they will hold the wine and return the wine back to you on the final night aboard.

 

34th Street is a long walk from the piers, which are located near 49th Street, give or take a city block. You're talking about walking with bags 15 city blocks. Here's a satellite photo/map:
