Question: Checking For Price Drops

Hi all.. When checking for price drops should you just check the ncl website or call directly?? Are the websites updated daily if there is a price change? Just curious what is the best way.. Thanks in advance for the help. :D

That is a good question! I have just been checking NCL's website, but maybe someone else knows something else! I check all the time, I did notice today that the suites above level AF on our cruise next year have come down a bit today... but anything AF and lower are still the same, darn, figures....we are in an AF! If you do see a price drop, call your TA or NCL right away.... before it disappears!

Check the site- it's faster than calling CS.

They often have price changes on wednesday, so its best to check periodically then.

Because on-line TAs sometimes discount their fares by reducing their commission (or so I've read), checking the NCL website will show if NCL has dropped the fare. I started checking regularly after making the deposit for my October cruise and found the price reductions seem to appear on Thursdays (probably posted Wednesday evenings). Do keep an eye on the fare, mine went down around $100, which NCL took off my fare but now the same cabin category is selling for almost $500 more!

Browniegirl: What cruise is it for next year? We are on the Dawn but have an AB penthouse. I can not check as there are never any rooms on the website.

Like I stated above to brownie, how can I check online when the ab never shows up?? Does this mean there is no chance for the price to come down?? :rolleyes:

Theresa522- Hi, we are on the Jewel next Jan 28th in an AF. When you punch in your info and the list of categories come up and you select AB, is it showing them as being unavailable? If so, then your price won't drop anymore because that category is all taken up. Keep checking occasionally though, because sometimes people upgrade and spots open in that category and the price might change, although AB is pretty awesome!!! I am going to check your cruise and see what comes up for that category.

Hi, when I go to the website and pull up the April 1st cruise, no AB's come up at all. That is why I think they are all sold out.

 

Glad I got one! We stayed in one already and they are FABULOUS!

Theresa522- Looks like your category is completely sold out to the point where they've taken it right off the board! Bummer! Keep an eye on any higher categories though, if they come down you can upgrade for reasonably cheap or the same price you paid for AB! Happy Cruising, sounds like a wonderful cruise!

I will continue to check as my in-laws have D1 booked and my niece an inside cabin. Maybe we can save them some money! :D

 

As far as an upgrade or upsell I think I can only hope for the garden villa!! Wow wouldn't that be great!!
