l929 Posted August 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Hi, Has anyone used the babysitting on Carnival for under 2 y/o after 10? Their website says they will provide a crib, but is it in a separate area from the other kids? I would love to hear what others have done even in other babysitting programs that dont start until after 10pm with their under 2 year olds. Mine is 19 months and doesnt transfer that well. I'm thinking I'd have to take him back to the cabin after dinner, put him down for 2 hours and then bring him to the camp, through the ship, asleep. Then pick him up a couple of hours later and transfer him. Doesnt sound like it will work, but maybe someone else could tell me that it has for them! Caitlinsmama Posted August 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2006 Just back from a cruise with a 21 month old. I thought all along I would definitely use the babysitting at night they offered, but we ended up not using it because my daughter did so well. They have pack and plays in camp carnival. If your toddler sleeps well with noise then he should be ok. Otherwise there might be a problem because they show movies. As far as how crowded it is, I don't know because we did not use it. My daughter loved the shows so we just took her right along. Either she was entertained by the show or she was sleeping. She slept right through some activities and even a show that was extremely loud. I didn't feel the need to put her in babysitting. I was just as exhausted as her at the end of the night and by the time I could put her in the sitting, I wanted to go to sleep! The only problem we had was doing the casino- which I don't do much of, but I did go a few times with a family member watched her for an hour or so. Otherwise, I took her to everything we did, and it worked just fine.
l929 Posted August 28, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 28, 2006 Hi Caitlinsmama! How was it?? (remember me? I hijacked your roll call the day before you left!) I know you said you didnt use the night time babysitting, but did ever see the set up? If so, were the cribs in the same room as the tvs?
