Ideal time for boarding?

I'm driving to Vancouver for the Volendam sailing on September 6th. It's about a 5 hour drive from where we're spending the night so now we're trying to figure out what time in the morning to leave. Is noon a good time to arrive? We would like to miss the rush but we also don't want to arrive too early and not be able to check into our rooms. After a long drive, we'll probably want to rest a bit. Any suggestions?

We are driving within Canada so no border crossing to worry about it. What time should we plan to arrive and check in? How early can we do this?

Rooms are ready by 1:30 but we get to the port about noon and find a table in the Lido before the ship fills up.
