leruskin Posted August 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2006 I was wondering if anyone has snorkeled these wrecks? I HEARD we could do it on our own and walk from the cruise ship?? Anyone have any info...We would like to do these ourselves. Also is there any snorkeling at Seven Mile Beach? Are there bars, chairs for rent, etc??? How much was the taxi ride over?? Thanks in advance for everything!!!

Thanks in advance for everything!!! Yes, you can. These days, Carnival will even sell you a walking excursion to shore snorkel the Cali. Not much snorkeling at SMB,unless you go up by Cemetary Reef. But there are bars, chairs for rent, etc. Taxi fare depneds on where you are going. I would say $5-$8 each way per person, depending on where you get dropped off. I actually did something similar last December (other than the SMB part, but am not much of a beach person)... http://zydecocruiser.com/gc_dec_2005.htm
Neeners Posted September 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2006 I think Eden Rock is better than Wreck of the Cali. You'd definitely need a cab.
CaribbeanCrazy Posted September 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2006 From what I've read Eden Rock is within walking distance from the ship. I think it is less than a 1/2 mile. The per person rate for a taxi to SB is around 3.00 or 4.00pp each way....not 5.00-8.00pp. CaribbeanCrazy
