Portofino- what do you recommend?

Recommended Posts

One of the ports we are going to is Portofino - what would you suggest? How easy to do independently? bearing in mind I have mobility problems? How to get more information?:)

Portofino itself is quite small, and if you do not walk up the hill you should be fine just strolling around the little area where you will be tendered. If you do not hire a private driver to see some of the area, and you can get on a ferry I would suggest taking the local ferry over to Santa Marghrita, having lunch and strolling around near the dock area. There are some small places to eat and the food is good.Bear in mind that shops closed for a couple of hours for the noon meal. The ferry ride in no long and you can get back in time to get the tender for the ship.Enjoy it as it is am restful port since it is not intensive as some of the others....
