Personal Belongings on excursions?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I hope everyone gets used to me asking questions because, as a first time cruiser, I have a alot and with time winding down to our cruise date, all these little detail questions keep popping up in my head.

I was wondering what you do with your ship I.D. and photo I.D. while on the excursions. Especially the excursions where you go in the water (cave tubing, snorkeling...etc). If we have our passports with us, or even Drivers Licenses and money, I really don't want to take a chance of someone taking that. I planned on bringing a backpack on shore, but what do you do with it while you are floating down a river or snorkeling?

When you are on any excursion whether booked independently or via the ship you will be transported by bus/van or aboard a boat. This same driver/guide will be with you for the whole excursion and you can leave your stuff aboard. Believe me, he won't steal anything, he wants to get his tips and keep working.
