cruisedivaofmd Posted September 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Hello All, I'm thinking about planning a quick get away for me and hubby in November on the Monarch of the Seas. Does anyone know what's the weather like in Los Angeles and Ensanada, Mexico during this time? Thanks!:)
boaterette Posted September 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2006 Hi, The weather in November is usually hot during the day with Santa Ana winds. It is a nice time to cruise. Have fun.

skandls Posted September 3, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Nov weather will probably be in the 70's or 80's. If the santa ana winds blow it can get warm. But the Pacific ocean keeps the coastal areas cool. This is not a caribbean tropical cruise. Plan on light clothing with layers if necessary. We SoCal people don't have 'winter' wardrobes. You may need both long pants and shorts. Ensenada should have good weather in Nov.
sharpie13 Posted September 3, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2006 We've done the Monarch twice in November and found the temperatures to be in the low 80s each time. The Monarch does a good job on the 4-day itinerary. Even though the days are shorter in November the Monarch's entertainment more than makes up for the fewer daylight hours. Have a great cruise! tinkerme1 Posted September 3, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 3, 2006 We have done the Monarch cruise in November several times. I would say the weather can be really good, or it can be really bad. We've enjoyed our cruise both times. You shouldn't worry about the weather in LA. You're only boarding there. As you go further south, the possibility for rain is greater in November. The temps will be anywhere from 50 to 80 degrees. Yup, it is a big range, since we occasionally get Santa Ana conditions which heat up the West Coast areas from the desert winds. Ensenada is usually warm to hot. Again, the temps can vary significantly. We'll be onboard again this November 24! :D
Ella2 Posted September 3, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 3, 2006 It could be 60 or it could be 85...that's Southern California in November. Catalina and San Diego will be COOLER, Ensenada will be a bit WARMER. :)
