mlmagic Posted September 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2006 We just booked our first HAL cruise to the E. Carrib for December 2007, was wondering about the water temp for snorkling/playing in water?? We will have our kids and want to know if they can play in the water. Is it really hot outside, muggy?? I know there are no guarantess with the crazy weather sometimes, but was just wondering overall for those who do alot of Carrib. trips how it is in December (Xmas)... mlmagic
unclerich Posted September 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2006 As a New Yorker, I can assure you that the weather in the Caribbean in December is a whole lot better than New York - or Oregon. Here's a link to Virgin Islands weather info: http://www.*****/usvi/weather.php Hope you don't mind 80 degree air and water temps:D . Have a great trip! LHC Posted September 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2006 DD and I did the eastern Carib last December. Temperature in the 80's with 2 days in low 90's. We were in the water at every port. We did use shorty's, as both of us tend to be cold natured. LHC
Hojo's redbeard Posted September 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2006 We did the Western Caribbean last year. Leaving and arriving Tampa it was cold (for a Tampa native that is) and rainy. The whole week was warm and sunny, beautiful weather. JMO, but December is the best month for cruising (weather and prices)...too bad my DW went back to working at the airport and can't take off during December anymore.
