Best Ever!

Arrival - we live close to Galveston so we left our house at 11:00, parked at EZ Cruise (had per booked on line). Lines were a little long but moved quick - we were on board by 12:45.

Unforunatly due to Ernesto we would not be going to Jamaica. Our itineratey had changed to Progresso, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman.

Day 1 - Great sea day relaxing by the pool and working on our tans. We have a pool at home and spend a lot of time in the sun. What we didn't plan on was the amount of sunscreen needed. This was the first cruise we need to really coat ourselves to keep from burning. We went though 2 large bottles (no ad).

Day 2 - Progresso - we did get off and wander the shops by port but got back on and just hung out by the pool again. No one seemed to care if children were in the adult only pool. As long as they were with parents they were fine. I was really surprised at the number of children and teenagers on this trip. Several we talked to had taken them out of school for the trip. When our kids were younger this would have been their allowed days off for the year.

Day 3 - Cozumel - We have always gone to Mr. Sanchos, this year we tried Paradise Beach - LOVED IT. We arrived early and there was no one there, it did get crowded as the day went on. We left at 1:00 to do a little shopping - last tender at 3:00 - Taxi was $13 each way. Will definitely go back to Paradise.

Day 4 - Grand Cayman - we had booked online with Capt. Bryan. Our trip was for the 9:30 2 stop tour. We did not arrive into GC until 9:00 and after the tender it was close to 9:45 when we arrived at their office. No problem, in fact a lot of the Conquest passengers also were booked. They put us on the 10:30 3 stop tour with no extra charge. Great crew - fun trip! There is a photographer on the boat to take your pics with the stingrays. He took 15 of us so for $70 + $5 shipping we bought all. We figured we got the trip and all the pictures for just what it would have cost us to have taken the Carnival PACKED tour. Arrived back in town at 2:45 and had very little time to shop. Last tender was at 4:00. If you go say hi to Donnie, Leon, Robin and Jody.

Last 2 sea day - Pool time and even got a few movies in the room. Just relaxing and quiet.

Shows - only saw 1 - Ron Johnson's Motown - it was good. Most shows started at 10:30 and I am really ready to be sleeping by then. We are early birds not night owls.

Casino - We lost a bit - I did email the casino host and Ocean Players prior to our trip - Bon Voyage Decos and Fruit Basket were waiting in our room. It took me several visits to the booth to have my points tranfered. I thought this would have been done already but not.

Room Steward - Michael on the Main deck - The Best!

Dining Room - we ate there every night. Tatiana and Elena in the Monet were great. They remembered our likes and dislikes and always brought an extra something for us to try.

Overall Staff - The friendliest we have met so far. Every time you pass a crew member you are greeted with a hello or good morning. I can't say enough about the whole crew being kind. They seem like a very happy crew.

Overall Thoughts - We had planned on trying other vacation options next year, having cruised the past 3 years. This ship and crew has changed our mind. I think it will be Conquest again next year.

Nice review! Can you tell us a bit about your cabin? I am thinking of doing balcony guarantee. We are sailing her in March. Thanks!

We did an oceanview. Having never had a balcony, we didn't miss it. And as I said our room steward was so great that I am glad we had the cabin we did. There is a "cooler" in the room. We had taken our own 7up and it stay very cold in there. They won't remove the mini bar stuff so we just pushed it to the side. This was the largest of our past cabins. Plenty of space for the tow of us to get ready.

Happy to answer any other questions.
