Belize, Limon-costa Rica,Colon-Panama

We're trying to decide where the best snorkeling is between Belize, Limon, costa Rica & Colon, Panama. We would like to see the Mayan ruins & do the cave tubing in belize. From everything I've read so far, I can't decide where the best place to snorkel is. I would like it to be comparable to Grand Cayman. I thought that was the most beautiful water/sand/fish I've seen & since my husband wasn't with me on that trip, I wanted to find a comparable snorkeling place. I would appreciat the input:)

I've only been to Belize. I would have to say Belize. They are 2nd to only the Great Barrier Reef, or so I've been told. The water is beautiful, lots of fish and coral.

Great Barrier Reef or Roatan which is about the same as Belize. No way, Limon. NMnita

dmarie69, please forgive me if this is out of line, as I know it is NOMB, but from the questions you have asked and the activities you show interest in, I have to wonder - would the itinerary for the Feb 4, 2007 Carnival Valor Western (Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan, Costa Maya) be more attractive to you than this Legend itinerary? You could snorkel at GC and Roatan, go cave tubing in Belize, and visit ruins from Costa Maya.
