CruiserPK Posted September 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2006 My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the Grand Prix in Italy. It was fun looking at the clothing choices, although the Monaco Grand Prix last year seemed more glamorous. Perhaps all of the gorgeous yachts in the harbor as a backdrop, including numerous cruise ships that routinely schedule their Med cruises to coincide with this fantastic event give a more luxurious feel to the racing experience. (Actually, we were SHOCKED last year to see EasyCruise in the harbor in all it's orange splendor;) !) Those of you interested in Italian fashion would have found the Grand Prix clothing choices very exciting indeed! Most of the women were adorned with beautiful handbags and lovely shoes. Because this was a daytime event, most wore linen or other comfortable fibres. I found it interesting that nearly our whole corporate group was in either black or beige.... ciderapple Posted September 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2006 WOW! What great weekend, I am so envious. The Grand Prix is so glamourous and especially in Italy, but I am not surprised Monaco was even more so last year. I have not followed the Grand Prix since we have been in the US, but used to follow it all the time when we were back in the UK (on the TV I mean!). BlueHerons Posted September 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2006 Hi Pam! Did you take any photos you can share? I'm not surprised Easy Cruise was in the habor given the number of students they cater to.

CruiserPK Posted September 11, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted September 11, 2006 Tried to post photos of the pit lane right below our "Paddock Club Lounge" area and another of the "Vodaphone" girls holding the flags prior to the race. Sorry, I could not get them to post. Cheers, Pam
BlueHerons Posted September 11, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2006 The photo didn't work for me, can you re-post? Thanks! Another thought is the Easy Cruise ship may have been a charter.
