CruisingCatherine Posted September 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2006 This will be my first cruise as a Platinum Member. Could anyone describe the private departure lounge. Is it crowded? Is breakfast provided, or just coffee and snacks? Would my group of 4 be better off to enjoy breakfast on the deck or enjoy the lounge?
Fang Posted September 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2006 My family was on the AOS in July and used the private depature lounge. It was just a private room off of the main dining room. There were rolls and other items, but no hot food. OJ was there along with Champien (?) to make Mimosas. While my family (wife and two daughters) were in the lounge, another couple tried to bring friends into the lounge and were turned away. They were told thier friends could not come in but they could. We were off of the ship very fast. Its a great perk.
ElvisandTracey Posted September 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2006 Each port has a different set-up. In LA it's just a small room, with much shorter lines!!:D I think last time they had coffee and water, that's about it. Did I mention the much shorter lines!!:D :p
yogimax Posted September 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2006 Forget if it was Miami or Fort Lauderdale... but there was nothing. Just a separate seating area.

If you are in no rush to get off the ship I'd recommend enjoying your breakfast on the deck (Windjammer??).
