AC Penthouse on POH - Butler questions

Hi

We are booking a penthouse suite for 12/03/07 on POH :)

Had a mini suite once but never a butler!!!

So..... hubby loves eggs benedict and I've heard that you can order stuff that's not on the menu for breakfast??? anyone know if this would be an option on POH?? He'll eat it every morning (may need a cholesterol check after the cruise!!!)

Anyone had a butler on POH?

How do we tip? what's an exceptable amount?

We can also make all spa appointments & dinner reservations with teh concerige??

Egg's Benidict: Common question on this board, yes you can order it in the main restaurants, and thus your butler should be able to provide it for you in your suite.

Tipping: This question gets talked about more then eggs benidict, best thing to do would be to search under "Butler tips," you'll get TONS of answers.

Concerige: yup, all reservations can be made through the concerige, as well as early tendering.

We had an AC penthouse suite on the POH (8/28) and yes, you can order things not on the menu. We did not venture too much off of it though, as the suite room service menus are different than the regular ones.

 

The butler service was good, he was the one who delivered BF each morning. He told us to use the door cards for the breakfast orders to be sure he got the order and it was not lost in the TV ordering system.

 

We never saw or met the Concierge (Eric). He sent a few letters with the suite surprises, and the butler took our dinner reservation worksheet to him to set up our reservations.

 

Don't know about the spa reservations, I never made one. You probably need them for massages and special treatments, but not for general use of the spa. If you want that, the first day they have the $72 special price for the whole cruise.

 

We tipped in acordance with the other service charges added to the onboard account and adjusted up/down based on the butler, concierge, and stewards service.
