Airline Flights

One tip: if you book your own, make sure your return flight is booked for noon or later. I've only come close once to missing a flight this way, and it was because there were extreme circumstances on the freeways that day. I had a 1:00pm flight and although we got off the ship at 10:30am, it was 12:15pm before we arrived at the airport due to a combination of construction and a truck that overturned. But me & my luggage made it, so it all worked out well in the end.

We've found if you book through the cruise line you can sometime get awkward times and also stop overs. You don't always get the most convenient times that you would if you booked yourself. But I also agree that to reduce stress come in a day early if possible and book an afternoon flight out. Keep in mind the next group of passengers are starting to get on board by 11-11:30. They'll make sure you're off the ship as early as possible.
