majlvr301 Posted September 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2006 I'm cruising on the Millenium on an Eastern caribbean itinerary from 12-24 until 12-31. I want to make a reservation at the specialty restaurant, but want to make it on a night that the main dining room isn't having anything special. (ie: formal nights). Does anyone have a suggestion on the best night to book it? Is there a place to find the daily menus/dress code of the night? Thanks.
barbarah33 Posted September 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2006 I just wait until I get on the ship then I go to the dining room and ask to see the menus - explaining why I would like to look at them. It's never been a problem for them to show them to me at all. Or, if you have a butler, the butler can also get them for you. If you would like to try and pick a night before you sail try going to: http://cruiseclues.com/menus.htm. Once you pick the night you want to go make the reservation ASAP. It's a wonderful experience I'm sure you will enjoy.
Longboysfan Posted September 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2006 The reservations start 60 days out for Captains club people. All others it's wait till you get on the ship. If you have cruised before but not joined Captains Club - do so now. If this is a first time go to your connections board - have someone reserve for you. Pay them for it on the ship. mferranti Posted September 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2006 I imagine the 25th will be the first formal night on your cruise, being the second nght as well as Christmas Day. Second formal night is almost always the night before the last night of the cruise.
