Donna PT Posted September 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2006 I'm going to have some onboard credit through Visa reward points and booking this cruise on my last cruise. I don't think I will be able to spend all of the money on booze alone, so I was thinking of putting my gratuities on my seapass account. I'm assuming the credit covers anything on the seapass account including gratuities, but since the credit is for "onboard purchases," I'm a little concerned they may say gratuities aren't part of the deal since it's not a purchase. I don't want to be left w/ wasted credit. If it became an issue, my argument would be that the onboard credit pays for the gratuity that is tacked on to drinks, so why not other types of tips. Does anyone have any experience w/ this?
Buckeye Geo Posted September 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2006 Donna PT: I have used my OBC for gratuities on many occasions. Never had a problem. Happy cruising.
