Cabin,dining, hotel and airport ?

We just booked for a cruise next month on the Caribbean Princess. We have a Cat BD mid ship on the Baja deck. Should we have our TA keep on eye out for an aft cabin and if so which category and deck? I want to avoid the Rivera Deck.

 

How does PC dining work?

 

It looks like we shoul fly into FLL and then use gov't rate or priceline or hotwire as you all suggested to get a room for the night before we leave. Do any of the nicer hotels offer shuttle from the airport to the hotel and hotel to the port? If so which hotels?
