MD VBMom Posted September 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2006 We're on Radiance for a cruise in November. We will arrive in FLL the night before, and will stay at a hotel near the airport. The hotel provides a shuttle that will take us to the port on departure day, but we will need to find our own transportation back to the airport at the end of the cruise. Are there cabs at the port waiting for fares, or will we have to call for a cab? Also, if there are cabs simply waiting there, are they there all morning or just first thing? Any idea as to the cost for a cab trip to the airport? Would we (4 of us) be better off buying transfers from RCI? Thanks!
klc1923 Posted September 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2006 you would be better off taking a cab - it would be cheaper. The cabs are lined up at the pier waiting to take away passengers. As of 10 days ago it was $20 per cab - and that included tip. I just would be concerned about the amount of luggage and 4 people. You may need to take a van rather than a cab. It would be safe to assume the price would go up slightly. Even if you had to take 2 cabs to accomodate the luggage, it still would be cheaper than paying a per person fee for the transportation. Plus, with the cab you go when you are ready, rather than waiting for the bus to fill up. Have fun on your trip!
springtxbill Posted September 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2006 Plenty of cabs and since it is a very short trip to the airport, they will make several trips during the morning.:)
